Congratulations on considering a remarkable opportunity for women in our Jewish community!  We invite you to join us on a journey that will empower and inspire you, and future generations of Jewish women.

Women are the new face of philanthropy; choosing to express their philanthropic endeavors with a clear focus and hands-on approach.  In addition to the Federation’s Annual Campaign and other endowment options, the Jewish Women’s Foundation (JWF) serves as a elite vehicle to attract new donors and further engage existing donors to our Federation.  The JWF seeks to make a positive impact in all aspects of Jewish women and girls’ lives through strategic and effective grant making.  It also endeavors to empower JWF Trustees as donors, decision makers, and agents for change.  There will be educational options for Trustees of JWF to learn about grant making, financial responsibility, and how philanthropy creates opportunities for Jewish women and girls.

The goal of the JWF is to expand the circle of giving among women in Broward’s Jewish community, with outreach to and inclusion of new donors.  The mission has several strategic initiatives, which are to allow women the opportunity to focus on issues of importance to them; create an unparalled option for intergenerational philanthropy.  The JWF provides a structure for women to have a greater level of control of their philanthropy and how their charitable dollars are being utilized.
